Why I Almost Gave Up (But Didn’t): My Course Creation Breakdown

I haven’t shared this before, but there was a day when I nearly shut everything down.

The blogs.
The email list.
The course I spent months trying to build.

I was one click away from deleting it all.

What stopped me?

Honestly… a random download button.

Let me take you back.

The Breaking Point

I had just finished editing Module 4 of my online course — for the third time.

Each take felt flat.
The lighting was off.
My voice sounded forced.

Worse? I’d burned through two weeks just on this section.

My ad budget was gone.
My email list hadn’t grown.
And I hadn’t made a single sale.

I closed my laptop.
Stared at the ceiling.
And whispered, “Maybe I’m not cut out for this.”

The Real Problem

I wasn’t lazy.
I wasn’t lacking ideas.
I just couldn’t keep up with the content treadmill I built for myself.

  • Every lead magnet had to be original
  • Every module custom-recorded
  • Every script perfect

The result?
Paralysis.

I wasn’t launching.
I wasn’t earning.
I wasn’t even creating anymore.

Until something shifted…

The Download That Changed Everything

I stumbled onto the Video Courses Collection during a late-night scroll.

The page said “Over 700 video trainings you can rebrand, resell, or bundle.”

I laughed. “Yeah, right.”

But I clicked anyway.

And what I found wasn’t junk.

It was polished. Professional. Ready to go.

I downloaded one course about passive income funnels just to see.

That night, I didn’t go to bed defeated.

I went to bed with a plan.

The Rebuild

Here’s what I did:

  1. I rebranded the training with my own logo and intro
  2. I packaged it as a freebie to warm up my cold list
  3. I created a tripwire upsell using another module from the Video Courses Collection
  4. I sent out an honest email about what I’d been through

Within 48 hours, I had:

  • 137 new subscribers
  • 22 sales
  • 7 replies thanking me for being real

It wasn’t just a win — it was redemption.

The New Rules I Follow

Since that day, I’ve made peace with these truths:

✅ You don’t have to do it all alone
✅ You’re allowed to use shortcuts — if they’re smart ones
✅ Starting with quality PLR is better than not launching at all
✅ The people you help don’t care how you built it — they care that it helps them

I’ve now built four product lines using the Video Courses Collection.

And every time I look at those old files I never launched, I smile… because I’m not stuck anymore.
